Congratulations to High School East science research coordinator Maria Zeitlin who just received an "Exceptional Teaching Award" from Stanford University!
Maria was nominated by former High School East student and current Stanford student, Kira Conte, who had this to say about her time working with Maria.
"Passion, grit, and resilience are not just what make Ms. Maria Zeitlin an incredible educator, but also are the lessons she demonstrates and instills in her students. As my research teacher and mentor for three years, with late nights and weekends, she fundamentally shaped me, and my future. Her willingness and dedication allowed me to explore my passion; I am beyond grateful. Research class was my favorite moment of any day, where I learned it is the thinking and persistence that counts." ~Kira Conte, Stanford Class of 2024.
Fantastic!
