With the help of special guests from NYU-LI hospital, kindergarten students at 探花社区 Elementary got some great safety tips Tuesday.
The volunteers spoke to the children about the proper ways to keep safe while riding a bicycle by always wearing a helmet. They had students drop two eggs: one with a "helmet" and one without. Guess which one cracked? :)
They also discussed seat belt safety in cars and personal hygiene.
The students then proceeded to their stations where they acted like doctors, diagnosed and provided cures for their teddy bears!
