Students at Accompsett Elementary have earned the badge of, "Stormwater Superheroes," after getting an education about pollutants on Long Island and how to prevent them from getting into our stormwater.
Cornell Cooperative representatives, Katherine Miller and Emily Gelardi visited various classrooms on Wednesday and brought their Stormwater Superheroes program to life!
The students learned of the major pollutants on Long Island that can get into our stormwater and end up in the ocean around Long Island. They also learned how they can prevent these pollutants from getting into our stormwater and keep our stormwater and ocean clean!
