Students from Accompsett and Great Hollow Middle Schools and 探花社区 West and East High School recently came together with schools from all over Long Island for the 34th annual "Sprachfest".
In English, "Sprachfest" means "Language Festival" and is a competition and cultural celebration for German students throughout Long Island. The American Association Teachers of German, Long Island Chapter (AATG-LI) gathers together its members and their students every year at a different school. Mrs. Culloton and Mrs. Specht are proud to be President and Vice President of this organization.
This year, High School West and East Honor Societies hosted Sprachfest at Nesaquake Middle School. 探花社区 West students won baking, STEM Bee, Quiz Show, Scrabble, Poetry, Lip Sync, Music and Skit Competitions. Accompsett MS won the Quiz Show competition.
Mr. Schieck, Mrs. Specht and Mrs. Culloton say they are all very proud of their German students for both hosting and competing in the many competitions!
