Students throughout the SCSD donned protective glasses, created 'pin hole viewers', played 'eclipse bingo' and stepped outside to view today's historic solar eclipse!
A solar eclipse is caused by the moon casting its shadow on Earth
The next total solar eclipse in the U.S. will come in 2044, and is expected to begin in Greenland, sweep through Canada and end around sunset in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Special thanks to our great school PTA's for generously purchasing safety glasses.
