Congratulations to those who celebrated at today's moving up ceremony at Mills Pond Elementary!
In a wonderful morning ceremony, Principal Ireen Westrack told the students how proud she was of them for overcoming the unprecedented adversity of the Coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, Mrs. Westrack announced each student will receive the 2024 President's Education Award.
"The Mills Pond Community is counting on your talent, your ideas, your energy, and your character, in order to make a positive difference for a brighter future," Mrs. Westrack told the students. "I thought it only fitting that Mills Pond 5th grade students should be awarded the 2024 President’s Education Award. You are being recognized for your hard work and achievements during an extremely unique and challenging few years in elementary school. Through it all, you tried your best and gave it your all, and for that, each student will be receiving a 2024 President’s Education Award certificate in recognition of outstanding Academic Achievement in the face of obstacles and challenges."
The certificates will be distributed by teachers on Wednesday.
ConGRADulations!
