Sure there's March Madness, but for our Middle School math experts, there's MoMathlon Madness!
All three SCSD Middle Schools recently competed in the 2023 MoMathlon, which is a Mathematics Tournament sponsored by the MoMath Museum.
Students put their thinking and teamwork skills to the test with three rounds of mathematical problems. This tournament was run virtually the past few years, so it was awesome to go back to a live, in person, event.
8th grader Tyler Nicastro from Great Hollow Middle School placed 5th overall in the individual competition! Special shout out to GHMS math teacher James Schiraldi for leading TWO teams to the event!
