The Math Honor Society at HSE held its annual induction ceremony this week, coupled with the math department academic awards.
Seventy students were inducted, and senior awards were given to officers Emma Rose, Aidan Quinn, Giovanni Bertone, Michael Giamalvo, Riley McHale, Alexis McComb, Charlene Chen, Rishabh Dholakia, and Sanjivani Singh (pictured left to right). Senior contribution awards were also given to Gavin Glaser and Nicholas Burtless. MHS members Jolene Cao, Sophia Leodis, and Arnav Jain were also acknowledged for their accomplishments (pictured left to right). Math department academic awards were given to Giovanni Bertone, and Alexis Savage (not pictured) for achievements in mathematics and Aidan Dillon and Dylen Shen (not pictured) for achievements in computer science.
The math honor society would also like to thank Jolene Cao for playing the harp at the induction ceremony and Principal Robert Rose, and Jaime Kaplan for cheering on the students.
Advisors Angela Boccio-McComb and Marianne Schoepflin say they are very proud of the accomplishments of the Math Honor Society this year, including the Rubin Award for community service from Mu Alpha Theta, the national mathematics honor society!
