Who says Halloween can't be fun AND educational? Students in Mrs. Carson's 4th grade class at Mt. Pleasant explored chemical reactions between matter by creating their own “magic potions” to celebrate Halloween.
Using the household items of baking soda and vinegar, students acted as wizards and experimented with the mixtures in their own cauldrons.
They made inferences on why they thought this reaction occurred, and added in their own creativity by thinking up their own magic potions afterwards!
