The Long Island Science Congress 2024 Awards Ceremony took place on June 11, 2024 at West Islip High School.
Students from High School East and High School West were recognized for their academic achievements.

High School West:
Bryan Lin, Hannah Ren - Honorable Mention Award Ribbon
Efthimios Papadopoulos - Meritorious Award Ribbon
Aniera Vundecode, Nita Lleshaj, Sydnie Vogel, Dylan Smith - Achievement Award Ribbon
Tyler Walters, Douglas Antaky, Daniel Davidsen - Honors Award
Nicole Gullason, Natasha Mishra - Highest Honors Award
Nicole Gullason, Natasha Mishra - Distinguished Project Award- Ecology ($50 prize)
Nicole Gullason, Natasha Mishra - NYS Science Congress Nominee ($100 prize)
Two teams of students at East were recognized with High Honors. Additionally the team of Daanish Bassi and Richard Chai received the "Home Grown" award for excellence in a project created and completed in the high school lab.
"Both teams of students meticulously executed outstanding in-house science research projects with well thought methods and data analysis," said High School East Science Research Coordinator, Maria Zeitlin.
