Each year, two students from each school in Suffolk County are recognized as the top male and female physical education students, based on NYS AHPERD (New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) criteria. Students are nominated by their P.E. teachers and must exemplify a supreme level of physical education achievement, demonstrate leadership ability in school-wide activities and serve as outstanding role models for their peers and within their community.
