Next Wednesday High School East musicians will perform at the legendary Carnegie Hall in Manhattan. And High School East student Ella Raschdorf wanted to make sure they get there in style!
Ella was the logo contest winner for the Carnegie Hall logo that was printed on t-shirts for our student musicians to wear during their day at Carnegie Hall on April 26th.
The contest was part of teacher Dianne Shanian's art class, and Ella's logo design was chosen out of 24 submissions by orchestra teacher, Brian McCoy, and other music teachers.
Ella says her logo was inspired by using "vintage tickets" and the colors of HSE, which also is part of the Carnegie Hall logo.
More than 230 students will be performing next Wednesday.
SCSD Director of Fine Arts Michael Mastrangelo joined Dianne, Brian and Ella for a group picture.
