Introducing “Turnip," “Aurora," and "Stich," three visitors today to Dogwood Elementary School!
The birds were part of a presentation led by Sweetbriar Nature Center representative, James MacDougall.
Did you know owls have three eyelids and have twice as many neck bones as humans do? Dogwood students learned that and much more during this presentation.
Turnip is an Eastern Screech Owl and Aurora is a Spectacle Owl native to South America. Stitch is a red-tailed hawk.
