Meet our newest olympian! Jolene Cao, a sophomore at High School East, participated in the Chemistry Olympiad competition and scored high enough that she will move on to compete at the national level!
According to Director of Science Dr. Stephanie O'Brien, "The level of material is beyond AP Chemistry and Ms. Zeitlin and Ms. La Comb both spent time working with Jolene to prepare her."
Ms. Zeitlin says she believes Jolene is the first sophomore in High School East history to compete at the national level.
