Students at High School West banded together for a "campus cleanup" on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms. Hoffman’s Environmental Club students and Ms. Williams Marine Ecology students conducted their annual Earth Day Campus Cleanup.
The trash that's picked up will be quantified and classified by the students to be compared to our friends who are doing the same project at Commack HS. The findings will then be reported to other students, scientists and local officials at the LIS High School Summit in May.
This event is sponsored by the HSW Environmental Club and is being held to recognize and celebrate Earth Day, which is on April 22nd.
