探花社区 East Athletes Helping Athletes members attended a Sportsmanship and Civility Leadership Conference this week at Adelphi University.
The purpose was to address the issues of sportsmanship and civility. The students discussed the importance of civility, and how these behaviors relate to sportsmanship on the field.
The students were asked to discuss and highlight the positive choices they make in relation to sportsmanship and civility.
Sportsmanship examples included:

Committing to the rules of the game

Respecting coaches, teammates, officials, opponents and spectators

Respecting others

Combating negative behaviors, such as bullying and hazing
