Author and librarian John Schu says his life is dedicated to what he cares about most: kids, books, and the people that connect them.
On Wednesday afternoon Schu spoke to sixth graders at Accompsett Middle School about the power of reading, the importance of school libraries, and ways to connect through story.
Mr. Schu is the children’s librarian for Bookelicious, a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University, and shares his love of reading with countless educators and students around the world.
The lecture is part of the middle school’s PTA Cultural Arts program.
After the lecture ended, Mr. Schu signed copies of some of his books for students!
